BACKGROUND

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Our work supports marginalised children and youth, especially adolescent girls, to grow up physically and mentally healthy and ready to shape their future. We create an enabling environment and empower girls to be active drivers of change in realising their rights. We prioritise working with partners, and ensuring all of our work is evidence based.


Plan International Tanzania responds to the Burundian Emergency program in Kibondo and Kasulu since October 2015 due to Burundian refugees’ influx with special focus on Case Management, Psychosocial support activities and Education in Emergencies (EiE).

PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES FOR DRONES OPERATIONS IN THE PARKS

Tanzania national parks (TANAPA) do not allow anyone to enter with and/ use the drone inside the park. However, such permission may be granted if one requests and obtain permit from the following authorities. I. PERMITS You need to seek and obtain permit from: 1. Filming board of Tanzania 2. Permanent Secretary Ministry of defense 3. Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) 4. Conservation Commissioner-Tanzania National Parks II. TANAPA CONDITIONS FOR DRONES OPERATIONS IN THE PARKS 1.0 APPLICATION Application be made to the conservation commissioner attaching copies of the permits from Ministry of defense, Filming board and TCAA 2.0 VALIDITY OF PERMIT 2.1 The permit remains valid where other conditions stated therein are adhered to 2.3 Park management has the right to revoke the permit 3.0 FLYING DRONES IN THE PARK 3.1 Drone must be flown (operated) not less than 50 meters from the ground 3.2 Drone must NOT be flown in the presence of other un related tourists 3.3 Operator must report ...
