Marekani: Mamia ya nyumba zateketezwa kwa moto huko Colorado

Jimbo la Colorado nchini Marekani linakabiliwa na kisa cha moto na karibu nyumba 600 zimeteketezwa kwa moto. Makumi ya maelfu ya watu wamelazimika kuhama na moto bado haujadhibitiwa, unaochochewa na upepo mkali na ukame uliyokithiri.

Awali iliripotiwa kuwa ni moto wa nyika uliyozuka Alhamisi, Desemba 30 baada ya kuanguka kwa nguzo za umeme kutokana na upepo mkali. Mto huu haujadhibitiwa kabisa, ukichochewa na dhoruba kali inayotembea zaidi ya kilomita 180 kwa saa na ukame wa kihistoria.

Hali ilichukua mkondo wa janga jana jioni wakati moto ulipowaka katika miji miwili ya ukubwa wa kati huko Colorado, Superior (mji wenye wakazi 13,000) na mji wa Louisville wenye wakazi 20,000, inayopatikana karibu na Boulder, moja ya maeneo makuu ya chuo kikuu cha serikali.

Maelfu kadhaa ya wakaazi tayari wamehama, wengi wakishangazwa na kasi ya moto huo. Wengi walikuwa na dakika chache tu kuondoka.
