What is a stakeholder?

- Stakeholders are people, groups, or institutions which are likely to be affected by a proposed intervention (either negatively or positively), or those which can affect the outcome of the intervention.

Stakeholders include:

The rich

The Poor

Men, women

Other Affected Groups

Interested Groups, including the TANAPA, Wildlife Division etc.

Stake holder analysis addresses fundamental question

  1. Who are the key stake holder in the project or study being undertaken or proposed?
  2. What are the interest of these stakeholders?
  3. How will they be affected by project?
  4. How influential are the difference stakeholders?
  5. Which stakeholder are most for the success of the project?
